Sacramento Divorce Lawyer
If you are facing divorce, effective and affordable legal representation can have a significant impact upon child support, spousal support, custody, visitation, and property division. My name is Jin Kim and I help clients pursue fair and efficient outcomes in the dissolution of their marriage. For some clients that means aggressively defending against unreasonable child or spousal support demands. For others that means pursuing support to maintain the standard of living enjoyed during the marriage. No matter your goals in divorce, effective and cost-effective legal representation will have a listing impact on your financial well-being.
Some things that sets me apart from other Sacramento divorce attorneys are my flat fees and affordable hourly rate. For simple uncontested divorces I offer representation for a flat fee payable by credit card. However, if there is disagreement between the parties or litigation is required I maintain my reputation as an affordable divorce attorney by offering representation for the mid-range rate of $300 per hour. (Understandably, no one wants to pay an attorney $300 per hour, but after a few consultations you’ll learn that my fees are among the most cost-effective in Sacramento). To learn more about my service and affordable fees call me at (916) 250-1610 to schedule a consultation.
Sincerely,
Jin Kim

Affordable Fees
Nearly everyone facing divorce is concerned about the cost of hiring an attorney and with good reason. Many local family law attorneys require expensive “evergreen” retainers and charge $300+ per hour. With such unpredictable fees and the expense of maintaining an “evergreen” retainer, many clients cannot afford the total cost of divorce. To help the under-served middle-class of Sacramento I offer flat fees and an affordable hourly rate.
My Flat Fee
For a relatively simple divorce (no kids, short marriage, few assets, few debts, no real estate, etc.) I may charge a flat fee of $2,500. (This is a sample fee, not a guarantee). In these cases, the parties are in agreement and will not contest the issues that must be addressed in divorce such as alimony and division of community property. Many clients who qualify for a flat fee do so because they have little property to fight over and simply want to separate in a cost-effective and timely manner. In light of how much local divorce attorneys charge, my flat fee option can save limited-scope clients thousands of dollars.
Affordable Hourly Rate
In most cases, there is some disagreement over one or more issues in divorce. For example, the spouses may be in disagreement over the amount of child support, or amount and duration of spousal support. Likewise, the spouses may be in disagreement over the division of community property such as the family home. In these contested divorces I charge a flat fee of $300 per hour. My goal in all hourly cases is to seek an expedient and cost-effective resolution to the contested issues, but how much contested divorces cost depends greatly upon the cooperation of the other spouse.
